REGISTRATION/ORDER EGGS FOR WILL COUNTY OR GRUNDY COUNTY

Teacher Training Workshop

The Teacher Training course is designed to provide elementary and high school teachers with knowledge on the chicken's egg, its importance to man, and its role in reproduction of the species.

Course content will be oriented to train teachers to conduct classroom incubation and embryonic development projects. Detailed information on the stages of embryonic development and the preservation of embryos will be included.

Instructional methods will include lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and visual aids. Suggestions on how to use classroom incubation and embryonic development projects to enhance programs in science, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and art will be offered.

The Will & Grundy County Teacher Training for 2020 will be
April 1 from 5 to 8 pm, Will County Extension, 100 Manhattan Road, Joliet

PROGRAM (and Teacher Training) REGISTRATION FOR WILL COUNTY OR GRUNDY COUNTY

All teachers NEW to the program are required to take the training; returning teachers are always welcome to attend as a refresher and to share their experience with others (we'd love to have you!). Classroom assistants are also welcome to attend.

Training is provided by University of Illinois Extension Poultry Specialist, Dr. Ken Koelkebeck.

ISBE CPDU

Teachers that attend and complete the training, even teachers who have completed it in the past, receive ISBE CPDU credit for 2 to 3 hours.  Be sure to complete the evaluation after the program and have the instructor sign the ISBE CPDU form.

If you are a returning teacher, be sure to let Shannon Range, our educator, know in advance that you are going to participate in training so she can prepare your packet ahead of time.
