I found a really good website that talks about the growth of chicks until they are 60 days old. It's a good read and very easy to understand. Check it out!
The big thing we noticed today is how much the wing feathers are already changing - especially in the brown chicks. Also, we're noticing a bigger difference in the size of the chicks. Some are growing rapidly and others not so much. They're starting to poop, eat and drink more! Yep, making my daughter and son clean it and take care of them. They have to prove they can do this before I commit to building a coop and having backyard chickens!
In the meantime, we're making sure they are handled gently, the kids are washing their hands and blankets thoroughly and we're trying to figure out which ones are hens and which are roosters since we can't keep any roosters! Argggg.
